ORA-16649: possible failover to another database prevents this database from being opened



SQL> startup;
ORACLE instance started.

ORA-16649: possible failover to another database prevents this database from
being opened


SQL> select database_role from v$database;
DATABASE_ROLE
----------------
PRIMARY

SQL> alter system set dg_broker_start=false scope=both sid='*';  ---- do this
System altered.

SQL> alter database open;
Database altered.

create pfile from spfile

*.dg_broker_start=false in init file

SQL> startup mount pfile='initvihaan.ora';
ORACLE instance started.

Database Buffers 100663296 bytes

SQL> alter database open resetlogs;
